YPDP and Earth Care Foundation Launch Tree4Tree Partnership

YPDP announced a new partnership with Earth Care Foundation to implement the Tree4Tree initiative in response to deforestation and climate shocks affecting Zambia’s food systems. The project supports farmers in restoring degraded land by providing 1,000 pine trees per beneficiary.

The initiative aims to plant 10,000 trees by 2027, with projections of generating up to K10 million in community income by 2035. Beyond environmental restoration, the project promotes climate-smart agriculture, soil regeneration, and improved livelihoods, aligning with Zambia’s Eighth National Development Plan and SDGs 2 and 13.
