YPDP is a National Youth-Led Non-Governmental Organization headquartered in Lusaka, Zambia, dedicated to empowering youth through economic independence, personal development, and community engagement.
YPDP was established in 2017 and obtained formal legal recognition on August 3rd, 2021.
To empower youths to drive Zambia’s development by fostering economic independence, promoting cooperative entrepreneurial initiatives, supporting inventions and innovations, and advancing a green and sustainable environment, while championing transparency, accountability, and good governance as foundations for inclusive community development.
YPDP was founded by Mr. Patience Mumbi and co-founded by Mr. Patrick Mweetwa, whose vision and leadership continue to guide the organization’s efforts.
Our programs are designed primarily for young people in Zambia, but we also engage with community members, volunteers, and partners who support our mission.
Our programs include 100 Youths, Green-Clean Youth Response, Youth Inventions and Innovations, and Edu-Fund, each focusing on different aspects of youth and community development.
You can get involved by volunteering, partnering with us, participating in our events, donating financially or materially, or joining our team through employment or internships.
We continuously monitor and evaluate our programs through feedback from participants, measurable outcomes, and regular assessments to ensure they are effectively meeting the needs of our youth and community.
YPDP focuses on Personal Development, Youth Development, Community Development, Human Welfare, Environmental Protection and Conservation, and Sanitation.
